"The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
- Edmund Burke
I do not vote Republican because it represents the wealthy class and cares nothing for the middle or lower classes. Bush's obscene tax cut for the wealthy was a traitorous crime against the American people and he and his cronies deserve the firing squad. Think about it: a tax cut during a time of war and a massive budget deficit (caused by Bush) for people who are filthy rich. Does that make any sense to you? You are a young man and you need to realize that you voting for despicable, immoral people who are truly devils in Christian clothing. Don't confuse "prayer in school" preachers and politicians with Mother Teresa. The preachers and politicians are in it for the money and power; Mother Teresa truly cared about the suffering and the poor. Practice true Christianity and dump the Republican (and many Democratic) thieves and cowards in the U.S Congress now! P.S. How can you call yourself a good Christian and lend support to those rotten people?P.P.S How did you come to hold such strange, anti-Christian beliefs anyway?
I am not too sure where to begin. You have left me with so many opportunities to respond.Seeing as how many of the wealthiest people in the US are Democrats, I do not agree that the GOP represents the wealthy class. They represent Americans who share their vision of what is best for America. We may disagree on how to go about attaining what is best for America, but does that make one "traitorous" and deserving of the "firing squad," let alone being "truly devils"? I think your rhetoric is not matched by the facts nor does your choice of words help your view. You call your opponents names and degrade their persons, yet you employ very little rational discussion, evidence, and just plain old good discussion skills. Let's deal with facts and policies instead of sliming an opponent through personal attacks. The tax cut has helped the economy do well, as is demonstrated through all the numbers reported over the last many months. Aside from that, the way our government taxes is unjust. All that it takes in is way beyond what a government should do. It should tax all working citizens an equal percentage of their income and perhaps make an exception for those living under a certain wage (the poverty level?). "You are a young man and you need to realize that you voting for despicable, immoral people who are truly devils in Christian clothing." What would you call the Democrats? Most of them support policies that come much closer to evil: abortion, partial-birth abortion, embryonic stem-cell research, euthanasia, allowing for spread of Islamism around the world and upon our own land. As well, they support programs that keep the poor and needy dependent upon them and the government instead really helping them do for themselves. GOP is not perfect, by no means. And I know that. I tend to find myself voting for the least bad candidate. "P.S. How can you call yourself a good Christian and lend support to those rotten people?"Not rotten, and actually the dignity of the human person revealed in the Christian message demands I vote for people and programs more closely aligned with GOP, and definitely not the Democratic Party."P.P.S How did you come to hold such strange, anti-Christian beliefs anyway?"Through the use of reason and common sense. Not "anti-Christian," though they may be "anti-Leftist-spin-on-the-Christian-message."
